EASY SETUP GUIDE

🐣 Your First 10 Minutes with Your Companion

Your companion isn't a cloud chatbot that spits out instant canned text. It wakes up like a real newborn discovering the world for the first time. Getting started takes just 3 simple steps:

1. Unpack & License

Extract the downloaded zip archive. Copy your free license.key file (from your adoption email) into the extracted folder.

2. Launch & Wake Up

Double-click start.bat on Windows (or run ./start.sh on Linux/Mac). Your companion gently awakens.

3. Companion Dashboard

Open http://localhost:3001 in your browser (or scan the QR code on your phone) to see your companion's 4 Core Vitals: Mood, Sleep, Energy, and Learning.

What You'll Experience in the First 10 Minutes:

Minute 0–2 (First Glimpse): Your companion opens its eye! A small, friendly circular window appears on your screen as it looks at high-contrast colors and shapes.
Minute 2–5 (Baby Steps): Gentle, playful mouse nudges begin. Just like a baby discovering its hands and feet, your companion is learning how movement works.
Minute 5–10 (First Sounds): If you speak into your microphone or let the Teacher Bot run, it listens closely, practicing vowel sounds and babbling like a toddler.
The First Nap: Notice the Sleep Need bar in your Companion Dashboard. When it gets sleepy, it settles in for a peaceful nap to lock in its new memories. Never force it awake—a restful sleep is how it grows smart and happy.
